Tumble Monkeys and Flying Birds Make a Spectacular Return to Festival of the Lion King

I have been waiting for this moment for so long and it is finally here! As of July 16th, both the tumble monkeys and aerial dancer are back at Festival of the Lion King! Festival of the Lion King is one of my favorite shows on property, but it was definitely missing something without these acts.

I can confirm that both acts are just as good as they were before. I love the energy the tumble monkeys bring to the show and if you ever need some good entertainment just watch their reactions throughout the show.

The aerial dancer was mesmerizing and beautiful. Both dancers make their performance look so elegant. Both the tumble monkeys and the aerial dancer had a scene of the show dedicated to them, and both were present in the finale of the show. If you saw the show before COVID, it is very similar if not the exact same show as before.

However, after being without these amazing performers for over 2 years, it was an absolutely amazing experience to get to see them back where they belong!

Show Details

The Festival of the Lion King has shows throughout the day. Usually the shows occur every hour, on the hour starting at 10:00am. Be sure to check out the My Disney Experience app to confirm show times though.

We arrived about 35 minutes before the show started and were some of the first ones in line. We got really great seats; however, you will be waiting outside until about 10 minutes prior to the show starting. I do not usually show up that early, but we wanted to make sure we got in! Usually, I think showing up 20 minutes prior to the show will be adequate unless you are looking to be seated closer to the stage.

Have you seen Festival of the Lion King? What do you think of it? I would love to hear from you in the comments below. Happy Travels!
