Lotte Plaza Market: An Exciting Shopping Experience with a Scrumptious Food Court

I am so excited to finally be sharing this gem of a place with you! Lotte Plaza Market is an International Food Market that focuses on Asian foods and items. You can also purchase food items from all over the world and there is so many unique items to explore. The market is located at the following address:

3191 W Colonial Dr. Orlando, FL 32808

It is a little bit of a hike from the theme park corridor; however, it could be a great stop if you are headed towards downtown Orlando or simply want to explore outside of the Disney bubble! Or if you are an Orlando local that has not checked this market out, I highly recommend you take a few hours to experience it.

If you have ever been to an Asian supermarket, Lotte Plaza Market is very similar, and you can find many of the same items you would find in other Asian grocery stores. However, if you have not been to an Asian grocery store before, you are missing out! They have a fabulous selection of items including many more options for fresh produce. Asian markets also offer lots of fresh fish, fresh noodles, dried goods, spices, teas, unique snacks and candies, and so much more! I enjoy walking down the aisles and seeing all the options. It is always fun to grab an item and try it out!

Lotte Plaza Market also includes a wonderful food court area when you first walk into the store. The food court area has six different restaurants, and they all offer amazing food! The six restaurants are: Izziban Katsu, Seoul Soon Tofu, Pho 54, Taglish, Joen Korean and I Tea. There is a great sitting area in the middle, and you can easily try different dishes from each restaurant.

We opted to try some food from a couple different places: Izziban Katsu, Seoul Soon Tofu, Taglish and of course some tea from I Tea! There are so many food options, and it is very hard to choose what you want to eat! Here are a few of the restaurant options:

My boyfriend and I decided to share a couple items to get the most variety possible. Each restaurant that you order from gives you a little buzzer that you can take to your table. Once the buzzer vibrates you can return to the restaurant to collect your food. I love this way of knowing when your food is ready, and you can also get a nice little collection going if you order enough haha!

Now onto our food selections!

Longanisa Burger ($9) from Taglish

We started off with the Longanisa Burger from Taglish. It is a sweet pork sausage burger with pineapple, cabbage slaw, provolone cheese and garlic mayo. This burger was super delicious! It was probably my favorite thing we ate. The burger had a super unique flavor and the pork sausage blended so well with the other toppings. It was a little messy, but I was licking my fingers to get off all the yummy flavors.

Soft Tofu Stew ($12.99) from Seoul Soon Tofu

Next, we opted for some Soft Tofu Stew from Seoul Soon Tofu . I had never had Soft Tofu Stew before, and I have to say I was very impressed. We got the stew with beef and only a little spicy. The broth was so flavorful with just a hint of spice. The stew also had an egg, mushrooms, scallions and rice cakes in it. It came out boiling in the bowl and took a while for it to cool down enough so we would not burn our tongues while we ate it. Overall, I thought it was incredibly delicious and I would definitely get soft tofu stew again.

Fried Dumplings ($6.99) from Izziban Katsu

Our last food stop was some fried dumplings from Izziban Katsu. We got pork dumplings with veggies. Overall, they were great and exactly what I expected from fried dumplings. They came with a sweet & sour sauce for dipping and the portion size was great (6 pieces). They were very tasty; just not my top food item because they were simply fried dumplings. The dumplings were a great quality, just nothing particularly special.

Honeydew Milk Tea ($5.49) and Cocoa with Tiramisu Cheese Foam ($5.75) from I Tea

It is pretty much required that you grab milk tea if you pass a milk tea place! It is no different here and of course I had to grab some milk tea. I usually choose the Thai Milk Tea, but we went in the evening, and I unfortunately can’t drink caffeine past 4pm if I wish to sleep at all at night. I ended up getting the Honeydew Milk Tea and my boyfriend got the Cocoa with Tiramisu Cheese Foam. The honeydew tasted just like what I expected, and I really enjoyed it. Very refreshing and melon-y. The Cocoa with Tiramisu Cheese Foam was very chocolatey! If you are looking for chocolate taste, you are going to love this. It was a very rich chocolate taste, and the tiramisu was also delicious. This tea tasted more like a dessert to me.

After our delicious feast, we walked around the store and admired the vast selection of food items! I always love seeing all the fresh produce, fish, meat and noodles. There are rows of dried items and spices. Snacks galore and a huge tea selection. I discover something new each time we shop here, and I am hoping to find recipes that will utilize many of the unique ingredients so I can give them a try.

Lotte Plaza Market also has a huge freezer section and there are so many options for food. Lots of dumplings, steamed buns, potstickers, breads and so much more. You could spend a long time going up and down the rows exploring the selection. Overall, we probably spent 30 minutes moving through the store and ended up purchasing some sake that I am hoping to use to make a copycat violet sake recipe from Epcot!

On your way out of the store, there are also a few additional pop-up stores. There is a massage chair store, Tous les Jours (a cafe with lots of fresh baked goods), Blossom (had lots of adorable accessories and handcrafted items) and Adora (K-Beauty Cosmetics).

Lotte Plaza Market is such a fun experience and I highly recommend checking it out if you get a chance! I would love to hear from you in the comments. Happy Travels!
