If you are looking for something free to do this Christmas season, look no further! The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll is back and I am going to tell you all about it! You can see the trees from November 10th through December 30th. As always, there is lots of free parking at Disney Springs or if you are staying on property you can take a Disney bus.
This year there are 19 themed Christmas trees located throughout Disney Springs. Some of the themes include Encanto, Coco, Haunted Mansion and Star Wars.
What to Expect
Once you have arrived at Disney Springs you have two options: pick up a complimentary Christmas tree stroll map or just get straight to exploring! You can pick up the map at the following locations:
- City Works Eatery & Pour House
- Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers
- Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Company
- The LEGO Store
- Planet Hollywood
The map includes stickers that you place onto the map once you find the themed tree. Once you find all 19 trees, you can return the map to any of those location for a special surprise.
(**Spoiler alert incoming but keep reading if you want to know the surprise. If you return the completed map, you get a commemorative button that says “Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll 2023″**)
New this Year! MagicBand+
Disney has also announced that there is additional interactivity with the MagicBand+ this year. You can interact with the following trees during the stroll: The Nightmare Before Christmas, Encanto, Frozen, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Town Center and Wish. The Nightmare Before Christmas Tree sounds like it has a special effect on the tree while the others just cause your band to show colors. I do not have a MagicBand+ yet so I was unable to try out this new feature.
Tips for the Best Christmas Tree Stroll Experience
A fair warning that Disney Springs can get crowded, just like anywhere Orlando. Be prepared for possible packed walkways and sometimes the parking lots do fill up. Disney Springs is particularly crowded at nights and on the weekends. For a more relaxed visit, try heading to Disney Springs during a weekday.
I highly recommend getting the map as it is free and a fun way to keep track of the trees you have seen. Plus getting a free button at the end is great too!
Allow time to browse the stores or get some snacks. You can visit all the trees fairly quickly depending on how fast you can walk, but I think taking it slow and stopping into the various stores makes it even more fun.
